If the thread is smaller than 1/2" NPT, conversion adapters are recommended for an additional $10.00. Available sizes are in 3/8" NPT and M16 x 1.5 metric thread.
Unsure of what size you need?
Take your faucet sprayer head to a local hardware store to find the exact thread size.
Reversed or Standard?
- Water can only flow through the diverter valves in one direction either from male to female for the Standard Inline Diverter or female to male for the Reversed Inline Diverter. If the diverter pin does not remain out when the faucet is on full pressure, this means the incorrect diverter has been installed. (See faucet diagrams)
- The Reversed Inline Diverter will have a lined carving all around the circumference near the female end, while the Standard Inline Diverter will be solid all around.

Phew! It was a perfect fit.
I was concerned whether or not it would fit, but it did. They asked me to send photos showing the diameter of the aerator, etc. so their engineer could give his best recommendation (no guarantees though). I also ordered the optional 3/8" NPT Inline Diverter Adapters just in case which I ended up returning. I am waiting for them to process the $10 reimbursement. Customer service was not great but I ultimately got what I needed to start having Kangen Water again, and for that, I am satisfied.

Inline diverter for pullout faucets
I bought this for my Canadian faucet. I tested it with my FL faucet, it works great, so I have great hopes for my Canadian faucet in a few weeks.

Ion Diverter Works
So happy to have received my Ion Inline Diverter. It was very easy to install on my kitchen faucet. No leaks. No additional tools or supplies were needed. It's nice to have my Kangen 501 beside my kitchen sink again, at last. I ordered both the regular and the 3/8" NPT - I needed both.

Did not fit
After spending extensive time on the phone sending pictures and talking with the sales rep who assured me this is what I needed, it didn't fit. In fact it was exactly what I already had. Wasted time and money
