A proprietary matrix:
comprising of at least two types of activated carbon, combined with proprietary Zeolite minerals, structurally bound with polymers into a highly porous block filter form.
Broad Spectrum Toxin Removal:

IonMetix Multi Filter
The purpose for the filter was to improve the taste of the water from the Kangen K8 system. It is winter of 2024 and since the water is cold I can't give a final review until the summer when the water warms up (reason why only 4 stars) but at this point I'm very happy with the taste. When reviewing the Contaminant Reduction info of the filter I had noticed the 92% reduction of All types- Fluorosilicic acid (so called "fluoride”)… which Hydrofluorosilicic acid is added to the water by the public water agency in my area. I have not seen this contaminant specifically called out with other filters and it was a good surprise. A few weeks following the filter installation I did have the water tested for fluoride by a professional drinking water testing lab which resulted in a 81% reduction (upstrm filter 0.64mg/L, dnstrm filter 0.12 mg/L, K8 Top Pipe @ 8.5 pH setting 0.19 mg/L) and happy with the results. I did decide against purchasing the IonFaucet Single Stage Filtration System for the filter housing because of the Note within the Product Overview recommending replacement every 2 years and decided on using the Pentair Pentek 158643 instead (& happy with the housing). Trouble with filter
I am having a difficult time unscrewing the filter that is in the three stage casing. I want to replace the filter in the casing but can't open it even with the tool provided...can you help with suggestions?? Tha ks
